Summary
Many topics may play a significantly greater role in the future. The Future Trends template can be used to identify these trends and their potential impact, opportunities, and threats. At the end of the session, necessary measures can be discussed to help deal with the topic appropriately.
Step-by-step
  1. Identify or research possible future trends (e.g. Fjord Trends). These trends for instance could be technological, socio-cultural or entrepreneurial.
  2. Use the Future Trends template to analyze these possible future trends. On the template you can also determine possible opportunities, threats, the potential impact and the necessary actions.
  3. Based on the analysis, discuss which topics are becoming particular trends. Try to ask yourself which trend has the potential to become bigger or remain a long-term trend in regards to the business that you are targeting?
  4. Develop problem-solving action points within the framework of these Future Trends, which offer added value.
