CollageLet users express their feelings through collages.
Summary
Collages are a creative way to express feelings and thoughts. This method can also benefit the user experience when users create their own Collages. The advantage of this method is that it is foolproof. Not only few materials are required, but also only a short instruction. Even young users, such as children and teenagers can create Collages.
Step-by-step
- Invite users to a Collage session. Make sure that all marginalized groups of the target group are represented in the selected people.
- Prepare a space in which the users can work undisturbed. Each participant should have a large sheet of paper (e.g. A3), as well as a selection of magazines to cut out pictures, scissors, glue and pens.
- Explain to the participants what is in store for them. Define the topic, feeling, product, service, etc. with which they are to deal. Then let the participants work quietly and individually.
- One by one, the participants present their Collages, which make it easier for them to describe their feelings and thoughts. The facilitator takes notes. What fears do the participants have? What hopes do they have? What does this mean for the further development of an idea or concept?
